Crowds of spectators enjoyed an afternoon of live music performed at Highbridge’s recreation ground on Sunday afternoon (August 4th).

‘Music at the Rec’ was staged in the area next to the recreation ground and occasional rain showers didn’t dampen the spirits of those watching.

Organiser Mike Murphy from CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, said: “The event was great success and enjoyed by everyone.”

It featured live music from 3 Hard Boiled Eggs, the guitar and vocals of Keith O’Connell, plus Mel and Ollie from Drop The Mic, The Lampelleys, the fantastic Rogue, followed by the headliners The Railway Sleepers.

The free event is one of the highlights of the 22nd season of CADS-organised events which are supported by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council.
