Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club is about to enter its 42nd year of delivering teaching and coaching to the community of Burnham and the surrounding area.

Still going extremely strong, the club is now swimming at Brean Splash, and entered a record 18 swimmers in the Somerset Development Meet on the weekend of 3rd & 4th October, achieving 4 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals.

A total of 129 seconds was shaved off 36 Personal best times – a great achievement for 2 hours coaching per week!

The campaign has also begun this month with the first Winter Series Gala at Norton Radstock, where the club achieved a strong 3rd position against Norton Radstock, Wellington and Minehead in the age groups Open, 15 and under, 13 and under and 11 and under.

The campaign for the much younger swimmers in the Four Seasons galas for the 12 and under, 11 and under, 10 and under and 9 and under age groups has also started.

A club that has years of history continues to make headlines, having been re-accredited with the swim 21 accolade from the A.S.A. embedding values of the sporting Clubmark ensuring a quality provision to our members. They continue to win medals, smash PBs, be competitive amongst all Somerset clubs and work develop all their swimmers.
