West Huntspill’s Crossways Inn named ‘Somerset pub of the year’ for a third year running

-

A pub near Burnham-On-Sea is celebrating being named the best pub in Somerset for a third year running.

The Crossways Inn in West Huntspill has won the top county award from CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale) after impressing the judges with its range of quality real ales.

The pub’s owners, Steve Dean and Abi Havercroft, pictured, will receive the top county award.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week, Steve said: “We are really pleased to have won this award for the best Somerset pub for a third year running!”

“I did tell CAMRA that I do feel a little guilty to have won again. But they said the other pubs need to up their game if they are to compete!”

“We have won due to our quality and range of real ales, and the knowledge of our staff. We have nine real ales on at any time and have 25 different ales very week — you really get choice here!”

“We are very proud to have won again and thank all our loyal customers for their support,” he added.
