Cow
causes rush-hour hold-up on M5 motorway near Burnham!
Rush-hour
traffic on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea was held up on Wednesday
morning (June 28th) after a cow wandered onto the M5 motorway
and would not mooo-ve!
The animal wandered onto the hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway
between junction 22 at Burnham and junction 21 for Weston at around
8am.
Efforts
were made to coax the frightened cow away from the road, and traffic
was held up before returning to normal at around 8.30am.
Earlier
in the morning, a swan had also landed on the M5 near Burnham,
prompting scores of calls to police. Both animals were safely
removed.
