Crash at Highbridge’s Apex Park leaves group facing repair bill

-

The group that runs Highbridge’s Apex Wildlife Park says it faces a repair bill of several hundred pounds after a car demolished part of its wooden entrance on Friday evening (March 9th).

Police were called to the entrance to Apex Park at 6pm where they found a car had slammed through the wooden structure.

The Friends of Apex Park’s Derek Chivers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re not entirely sure what happened, but we know a car lost control and left a fair bit of damage. It’s very frustrating because the repairs could cost us as much as £300, which is a lot for a small group.”

“We’re not sure yet whether our insurance will cover the costs. We will be contacting Sedgemoor District Council on Monday to discuss how we take this forward.”
