Burnham-On-Sea Police issue appeal for information after crash in seafront car park

-

Burnham-On-Sea Police have issued an appeal for information after a car crash in the town’s seafront car park early on Saturday morning (October 30th).

The silver Vauxhall Insignia ploughed through wooden railings in the car park at the back of the seafront B&M store at around 1am.

Several of the wooden struts were left impaled through the vehicle’s engine area, as pictured here. No-one was believed to have been injured.

Burnham-On-Sea Police have asked for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101.

The wooden railings were introduced by Sedgemoor District Council last year to try and reduce anti-social driving issues in the car park.

Nearby residents have long campaigned for improved measures to try and combat late night ‘boy racers’ using the car park, as featured here last year.
