Emergency services in Burnham-On-Sea had a busy morning on Tuesday (November 5th) dealing with two accidents in the space of an hour.

In the first incident shortly before 8am, a car and a cyclist were involved in a collision near the Esso petrol station in Burnham’s Love Lane.

One person was taken to Weston General Hospital with minor injuries, said an ambulance spokesman.

In the second incident, fire crews were called to help a lady after a two-vehicle collision at Ringstone in West Huntspill.

“Fire crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle to free one person trapped inside,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “One female casualty was released suffering from neck and spinal injuries.”
