The Singing Children of Africa are making a welcome return visit to the Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge area this week for a week of performances.

The children are from a charity called Educate the Kids and are all pupils at the group’s school in a poor area north of Mombasa.

During a visit to Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge they performed at King Alfred School on Monday, where they performed a concert and met pupils and staff.

They also performed at West Huntspill and Brent Knoll Schools on Tuesday. They are performing at Churchfield School today (Wednesday) and St John’s Church before St Joseph’s School on Thursday September 26th and St Andrew’s School on Friday September 27th with a concert at the Princess Theatre Friday evening.

The school educates over 700 children, many of whom are sponsored by individuals and organisations in the Burnham area. For further details, visit www.educatethekids.com
