The wildlife in a West Huntspill couple’s garden is being featured on the BBC’s Springwatch programme this week.

Clare and Steve Scott opened up their two-acre garden, which contains a heronry, to the film crew.

“They have filmed a colony of beautiful white little egrets nesting high up in a tree in our garden – making nests and laying eggs,” Steve told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“It was nice to have the programme along to feature our hernory, which has been here since the 1920s. The egrets have taken up residence in recent years.”

The programme showed the egrets up close in the West Huntspill feature

Clare and Steve Scott also got a mention in the show’s closing credits
