Burnham police start investigation after car is destroyed by
fire

Police
have begun an investigation into a car fire near Burnham-On-Sea
this morning (Saturday, June 16th).
Firefighters
were called to Puriton at 7.18am to find a blazing pink Audi Quattro
in a ditch, as pictured here.
"The crew used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus
to deal with the fire," a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
vehicle was badly damaged in the fire and there is a strong suspicion
that the car had been stolen.
Police
have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on their
non-emergency number 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800
555111.
