Brent Knoll’s Chalice Morris Men are holding a series of ‘taster evenings’ this month when local people interested in joining the group can find out more.

The taster evenings will be held on Thursdays 12th, 19th and 26th from 8-10pm at Brent Knoll Parish Hall.

Chalice have just completed yet another successful summer dance season which saw them dancing from Weston to Bridgwater and Glastonbury to Burnham as well as trips to Thaxted in Essex and Saddleworth in Greater Manchester.  Now the group is starting its winter practice season.

A spokesman said: “Chalice Morris Men have just completed yet another fantastic summer programme and now we are looking to recruit new members via a series of taster evenings.”

“Chalice Morris is thriving with a wide age range of membership but like all clubs is looking to the future to expand and to spread our particular type of dance.”

“We are your local Morris team based in Brent Knoll but dancing all over the area – probably near to where you are.”

“So why not come along and have a go? All ages are welcome but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not feel that you need be an accomplished dancer, as full tuition will be provided. Musicians are always welcome to add to our Walls of Sound – bring your instrument – but no church organs please!”
