Burnham-On-Sea fire crew helps trapped pensioner

A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew was called to a seafront nursing home on Sunday afternoon (September 28th) after an elderly person became trapped following a fall.

One fire engine was sent to Beverly Cottage Nursing Home on The Esplanade at 12.30pm, as pictured here.

"The lady had fallen and come down behind the door of her room, so no-one inside was able to help her," a fire spokesman explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The fire crew used a ladder to climb up to the first floor of the property, as pictured, and then gained access through a window to help the relieved pensioner inside.
