In photos: Sedgemoor Playday fun comes to Highbridge's Apex Park

Hundreds
of children and their families flocked to Highbridge's Apex Park
on Wednesday (August 6th) to take part in an annual fun day.
The
Sedgemoor Playday, which this year had the theme of 'Give us a
Go', was run in conjunction with Sedgemoor District Council, Somerset
County Council and the National Playday scheme.
There
were plenty of activities to see and join in with, including wall
climbing, donkey rides, face painting, paper kite making and circus
skills. The 'Man from Story Mountain' with his tepee was also
in attendance, along with Drumzone, an African drumming group,
and local groups including the Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft crew.
"It
was a very successful event," said Julie Cooper of Sedgemoor
District Council. "There were huge crowds of children and
everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. The weather forecast was
bot bad, but fortunately their predictions were fortunately not
accurate."
