Arts and crafts exhibition underway in Burnham-On-Sea

A three-day art and crafts exhibition is underway in Burnham-On-Sea's St Andrew's Church.

The show includes displays of work from local schools and artists, including photographs, paintings, patchwork items and flowers.

The festival opened on Friday (May 20th) and continues on Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 12-3pm.

"There's something of interest for everyone," one of the organisers, Caroline Norman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"We have graffiti artwork from King Alfred School pupils, paintings from St Andrew's School and over 14 craft displays plus a further 14 flower exhibitors."

The event comes during a week-long festival surrounding the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

On Sunday (May 22nd) at 12noon a bible-reading marathon will begin when the Archdeacon of Wells will read from Genesis. The whole Bible is being read over the course of eight days, as featured here.
