Burnham
cyclist raises £3,000 by pedaling from Land's End to Hinkley

A
Burnham-On-Sea man has helped to raise more than £3,000
for charity by cycling from Land's End to Hinkley Point.
Andy Brewer, right, who works at the power station, took part
in the 182 mile ride over the weekend to raise cash for a charity
that helps children with learning difficulties.
"It
went really well and I'd like to thank everyone who kindly sponsored
the charity cycle ride," he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"There
were 13 riders and a similar number of supporters and we set off
from Land's End last Friday morning and cycled to Bude, where
we stayed overnight."
"On
Saturday we cycled from Bude and all arrived safely at Hinkley
Point later in the day - a total distance of 182 miles."
Andy
added: "We expect to have raised in excess of £3,000
for the Taunton Opportunity Group for pre-school children with
special needs and all of your sponsorship money will go to the
charity. All expenses are were covered by those taking part, Magnox
and AM Sensors."
David
Hancock, TOG's representative, said: "We cannot thank the
cyclists enough." Anyone
would like to make a donation can contact Joanne.hellier@magnoxsites.com.
