A
fundraising craft fair held in Burnham-On-Sea's Marine Cove gardens
attracted crowds of visitors on Saturday (August 11th).
The
event was boosted by glorious sunshine and a good turnout of traders.
Traders
said they felt the fair was a good use of the recently-restored
gardens and organisers said it also encouraged visitors into the
town centre and seafront.
Community
Gardener Jacqui Strong told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I am pleased
with how the day went, the sun was shining, and people were visiting
the garden throughout the afternoon."
The Friends of Marine Cove also served cream teas during the afternoon
also sold items helping to raise funds for future events.
The
next large event, a community coffee morning, will be held in
the gardens in aid of Macmillan Cancer Research on Friday 28th
September between 10am and noon.
