crowds flocked to Brean Down over the weekend to watch the world-famous
Red Arrows and other leading planes soar across local skies for
the annual Weston Air Show.

Red Arrows performed on both Saturday and Sunday in their familiar
diamond formation and with colourful smoke trails behind them. Memorable
moments were when they formed a heart and also the numbers '100'
to mark this year's RAF anniversary.
popular show, which was held during a weekend of hot sunshine, also
featured aircraft such as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight,
the Strikemaster, Red Bull BO-105, Mustang, Autogyro, Catalina,
Pitts Special S-1S G-TWRL, Gazelle and Typhoon. The Aerosuperbatics
Wingwalkers were also in action.
Parish Council said hundeds of vehicles had parked on the beach
over the two days and the National Trust's car park was also at
Coastguards performed several safety patrols on Brean Down to check
on the safety of spectators.
