Burnham girl, 7, walks 12.9 miles to raise £400 for hospice in grandfather’s memory

-

A kind-hearted 7-year-old Burnham-On-Sea girl has walked 12.9 miles to raise funds for a hospice charity in memory of her grandfather who passed away earlier this year.

Lily Organ has raised over £400 for St Margaret’s Hospice by completing the walk along part of Somerset’s coastline at the weekend.

Lily and her mum Rebecca walked from Butlins in Minehead to Kilve and help St Margaret’s Hospice funds through sponsorship.

Proud family member Bev Brown said: “I am so proud of my niece, Lily, as are her mum and data Rebecca and Luke, along with all her family. It’s wonderful that she decided to do this – it was her decision to do the walk.”
