Burnham-On-Sea Police have arrested a 20 year-old man following an assault in Brean at the weekend.

A man was allegedly attacked in an incident during the early hours of Sunday morning (May 12th) in Warren Road.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of ‘Section 18 wounding’ and ‘possession of a Class B drug’.

Police have been seen searching roadside grass verges for evidence to help their investigation, as pictured here.

Police spokesman Sam Malone told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re investigating after a 20-year-old man was assaulted on Warren Road, Brean during the earlier hours of Sunday morning.”

“The victim required hospital treatment for injuries which were neither life threatening of life changing.”

“A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and possession of a Class B drug.”

“The man has been released under investigation while further enquiries take place.”
