Burnham-On-Sea
night club may check customers' fingerprints
A
Burnham-On-Sea night club could soon introduce fingerprint scanning
at its front door rather than requiring clubbers to show conventional
ID.
Shakers
in the High Street (pictured) is considering asking clubbers to
provide their name, address and proof of age as well as a fingerprint
- which would then be stored in an electronic database.
The
next time the person visits the club, they will not need to take
ID with them, but just have their fingerprint scanned instead
for immediate access.
Such a scheme would help to boost security and also make it easier
for clubbers to enter the club, say bosses.
Shakers
says the high-tech system is in the process of being introduced
at Weston's Vision club and, if successful, will be introduced
into Burnham-On-Sea.
