Celebrity
chefs attract big crowds to Somerset Food Fayre at Brean

Thousands
of food lovers flocked to Brean Leisure Park, near Burnham-On-Sea,
this week for the annual Somerset Food Fayre.
The
main attraction at Thursday's event was a series of cookery demonstrations
performed by top TV celebrity chefs Lesley
Waters, Ed Baines and Martin Blunos.
They
performed several cookery workshops in front of large crowds over
several hours. There was also a local produce market, trade stands
and free food tasters.
Martin
Blunos encouraged the crowds to buy local produce, saying: "Why
both something that's travelled half way across the world when
we can buy it locally?"
As
well as her regular appearances on Ready Steady Cook, Lesley Waters
has presented Can't Cook, Won't Cook and made guest appearances
on Food & Drink.
Ed
Baines is one of Britain's most successful young chefs, with several
thriving restaurants to his name. He regularly appears on UKTV's
food programmes.
And
Michelin-starred chef Martin Blunos has appeared on several TV
shows, including UKTV's Good Food Live! and Channel Five's Britain's
Worst Cook where he taught his cooking philosophy.
The
Somerset Food Fayre is held each year to promote Somerset's Hygiene
Awards, which recognise food premises that maintain high standards
of food hygiene.
