Low water pressure problem hits Burnham-On-Sea area

-

Thousands of homes across Burnham-On-Sea were left with low water pressure on Thursday morning (January 25th) after a technical fault in our area.

Bristol Water spokeswoman Paul Kelson apologised for any inconvenience, and told Burnham-On-Sea.com the problem had occurred when overnight maintenance work had overrun in the Brent Knoll area.

This caused “water supply issues” across Burnham, Highbridge and Berrow – as noted in our discussion forum.

“Our planned overnight work to change some equipment in the Brent Knoll section of our network over ran,” confirmed Mr Kelson.

“This meant we couldn’t deliver the normal water pressure to the Burnham area overnight and during the early hours of the morning, for which we apologise.”

He added that the work to restore the water pressure had been completed by 8am when normal water pressure returned.
