Bumper
bass reeled in by angler from Burnham-On-Sea jetty
This
bumper-sized bass was caught by an angler on Burnham-On-Sea's
jetty on Wednesday evening (July 2nd).
Michelle
Mewdell reeled in the 6lb 8oz catch on the falling tide using
a rod and line from the middle of the jetty.
The
fish is among the biggest bass caught from the beach this season
- and Michelle, who is from Bristol, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"It's a personal best for me, so I'm really chuffed. It was
quite a job to reel it in and several local fishermen were watching
on quite enviously!"
