Burnham fire crews tackle camper van blaze on M5 motorway

This was the scene on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday evening (July 12th) after fire crews rushed to tackle a camper van blaze.

The hard shoulder and one lane of the southbound carriageway were closed while the teams dealt with the fire.

Two fire engines from Burnham were sent to the scene, a quarter of a mile from junction 22, at 9pm.

A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com the camper van had been damaged by the fire, although there were not believed to have been any injuries to the occupants.
