Police
seize hundreds of pounds of cannabis in Highbridge
Police
have recovered hundreds of pounds worth of cannabis following
a raid on a home in Highbridge.
The
intelligence-led operation involved officers executing a warrant
under the misuse of drugs act.
Police
raided the property in Tregelles Close at 9am on Thursday (February
14th) and recovered around £800 worth of cannabis and hundreds
of pounds worth of cash.
One
man was arrested in connection with the recovery of the drugs.
He has been taken into custody.
Inspector
Dale Baker said: "This was a successful warrant which has
resulted in illegal drugs being taken off the streets.
"We
welcome intelligence from members of the public and will not hesitate
to act on that intelligence to arrest suspected drug dealers."
It
comes just days after Burnham-On-Sea.com reported
earlier this week how the Coopers Arms pub in Highbridge was
raided by police investigating drugs.
