Google Car spotted at M5 service station near Burnham-On-Sea

Google's controversial camera car was spotted last month in the Burnham-On-Sea area, according to a photo posted on a technology website.

This image of the so-called 'Google Car' parked at Sedgemoor Services was posted five weeks ago, on September 10th, on technology website The Register here by photographer Ian Randal.

While Google's use of the cars has sparked privacy concerns in some parts of the country due to 'street view' images of people and their homes being published without prior permission on the search engine's mapping website, there is no evidence in this case that the car was taking photos of streets in the Burnham area. No 'street view' images of our area have yet appeared on the search engine.
