Burnham-On-Sea
hairdresser receives training award
A
Burnham-On-Sea hairdresser has recently been recognised by the
Business Enterprise Centre at Weston College for her work-based
training achievements.
Rebecca
Lester, 20, who manages the Waves & Shaves salon in Burnham,
has been presented with an Outstanding Apprentice at Level 3 award
sponsored by recycling and waste disposal expert SITA at Weston
Colleges Celebration of Success awards.
College
Principal and Chief Executive, Dr Paul Phillips told the guests
at the awards ceremony: "Rebeccas confidence has no
boundaries. She has exceeded all expectations in both theoretical
and practical abilities, enabling her to achieve her goals. She
has showed commitment, motivation and enthusiasm throughout her
apprenticeship, which she completed while being employed at Waves
& Shaves."
Rebecca,
who studied for an Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing in
association with the Business Enterprise Centre at Weston College,
was presented with her award by Bristol-based BBC television presenter
Susan Osman, who currently appears on BBC TV.
Susan
was joined on the podium by Charles Garbett, Chair of Weston Colleges
Governors, and SITAs General Manager, David Ward. Young
