Burnham-On-Sea
shoppers invited to 'name that shop' in town contest
Town
centre shoppers in Burnham-On-Sea are being invited to 'name that
shop' during a three-week competition being run by the Chamber
Of Trade.
Cryptic
photos of various shops across Burnham - including those pictured
on the right - have been taken and the public is being invited
to match the names of the shops to the correct photos!
Entry
is free and the first prize will be £100 cash with shopping
vouchers for the runners-up.
Entry forms are available from Tourist Information Centre as well
as participating businesses and schools in Burnham-On-Sea.
Chamber
of Trade Chairman Alex Turco told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
Chamber is delighted to show its support for both the HABA festival
and Regatta week by running this event alongside the many other
activities taking part this summer."
"We
very much hope that this free, fun activity will attract more
people into the town centre to enter this contest."
The
contest started on Monday July 21st and runs until Saturday August
9th and is being held at the same time as the HaBA (Highbridge
and Burnham Artists) group's River
Brue Visual Arts Festival. Many shops in the town will be
displaying winning photos from the group's photography competition.
