Burnham-On-Sea
jazz night aims to raise funds for tennis academy
A
few remaining tickets are available for a jazz night being held
in Burnham-On-Sea this Saturday (March 15th) to raise funds for
a tennis academy set up in memory of a young tennis player.
The
Nathan Edwards Tennis Academy was set up following the tragic
death of 17-year-old Nathan in a road accident last November.
He was a talented member of Burnham's Avenue Tennis Club and a
former King Alfred School pupil.
Organisers
of the academy are holding a jazz night, with the Bob Reynolds
New Society Jazz Band playing a foot-tapping line-up of music,
at the Avenue Tennis Club in The Grove, Burnham from 6pm.
Tickets
- which cost £10 per adult, £25 per family (2+2) and
£5 per child - are available from GC Music in College Street
or from the tennis club direct on 01278 782758. There will be
a buffet included.
The
tennis club will also be holding an open day from 2-5pm on the
same day, which is free to anyone who wants to try tennis and
have fun. There will be games for kids of all ages plus a bouncy
castle.
