Highbridge police team set to be awarded top community award

A team of police officers from Highbridge is to be presented with an award for their "outstanding commitment" to working with the local community later this week.

The Highbridge beat team will be given the Ray Robinson Award for helping reduce crime and ant-isocial behaviour in Highbridge.

The Highbridge beat team consists of Sergeant Ian Kennett, Constable Adrian Jones, Constable Ryan Dinham, Special Constable Christopher Ford, PCSO Gill Udall, PCSO Claire Chambers and PCSO Gavin Jennings.

"I'm very proud of the team," said Sgt Kennett, pictured, on Monday (November 3rd).

"It's great that the work to set up Highbridge Youth Club and build close links with local youngsters and residents has been recognised in this way."

The award will be presented to the team by the Chief Constable at a special ceremony later this week. Ray Robinson was a police constable committed to community policing.
