Power
cut leaves
over 50 homes in Highbridge in the dark
Dozens
of homes in Highbridge and West Huntspill were without electricity
on Saturday morning (June 21st) after a power cut.
Western
Power Distribution confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com that a fault
had occurred at 6.38am, affecting 53 homes in the area.
"We
were called to a sub-station fault in Highbridge which left over
50 homes without supplies," said Martin Jones, spokesman
for the power company.
He
added: "Unfortunately, the fault with caused by a fuse blowing
in a sub-station. All the homes were re-connected by 8.10am."
The
company apologised for the inconvenience caused.
