Exclusive: Three arrests as drugs and a gun are seized in Burnham

Police arrested three people and seized drugs and a shot gun during two raids on properties in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge on Thursday morning (December 4th).

Officers smashed a glass door to gain entry to a home in Rosewood Close, pictured, before seizing a substance suspected of being cannabis.

A second raid took place a short time later in Highbridge where further drugs were recovered.

Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "A drugs warrant was executed in Rosewood Close on Thursday morning where a substance believed to be cannabis was seized and two people were arrested."

"Intelligence led officers to a second property at Highbridge Quay where more of the substance was seized and a third person was arrested."

He added: "A shotgun was also seized during the operation."
