Burnham and Highbridhge Youth Town Council launches new website

Members of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Youth Town Council formally unveiled the group's new website on Thursday evening (March 6th).

The eight page site - which can be accessed here - will help young people in the towns communicate with the youth councillors who represent them.

Cllr Peter Clayton, one of the Youth Town Council mentors, said: "The site will grow over the coming months and give young people in the town a voice."

"The site is a sub-site of the Town Council's website, but has designed with the full involvement of the young members themselves. It is hoped they will play an active role in maintaining it."

Deputy Mayor Cllr Neville Jones was on hand to to see the official switch-on of the site and he is offering youngsters a £5 monthly prize for the best digital photos of the town sent in to the website by under 16s.
