Burnham-On-Sea
zapcat pilots retire from sport on a high

Burnham-On-Sea
zapcat racers Ryan
Jones and Ashley Chappell announced their
surprise retirement from the sport this week, just hours after
winning a round of the national championships.
The
duo took to
the Cornish waters of Newquay on Saturday (June 14th) to compete
in a round of the national championships where they fought off
rivals to claim the top place on the winners' podium in their
class.
But
the team, who are called the 'Huntspill Boyz', said they were
calling it a day after two seasons in the action-packed sport.
Ashley
explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We simply can't afford
to compete in the event over the course of a whole season any
longer, so have decided to call it a day and sell the boat."
"We're
both sad to see it all go, but were delighted to go out on a real
high by winning Newquay, our final race."
