Brean country
music club raises £750 for Burnham hovercraft charity
Burnham-On-Sea's
rescue hovercraft charity was one of four good causes to receive
a funding boost from a Brean country and western club this week.
The
Tavern Country Music Club, based at Brean Leisure Park, handed
over £750 to BARB, as pictured, towards the charity's ongoing
hovercraft maintenance costs and the replacement of its Light
Of Elizabeth craft.
The
three other charities also receiving funding from the club included
Children's Hospice South West, Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance
and Diabetes UK.
The
Tavern Country Music Club's Terry Clark said: "BARB does
an important job in keeping our coastline safe. We are very keen
to help local charities and keep the money local."
