Police
appeal for information after vandal smashes shop's windows
Police
issued an appeal for information on Monday (March 16th) after
a brick was thrown through the window of this shop in Highbridge.
Officers
were called to the former BIBIC charity shop in Church Street,
pictured, on Sunday morning after a youth was seen running away
following the incident.
Police
spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We received
a call at 8.46am reporting criminal damage at an address in Church
Street. The caller said a man had thrown a brick through a shop
window and then run off."
"He
is described as a white male, aged around 14 years old, wearing
a black hooded top and jeans."
"Our
enquiries are ongoing, but we would ask anyone with information
that could help to contact us on 0845 456 7000 or via Crimestoppers
on 0800 555 111."
The
BIBIC shop closed last October due to falling sales, as first
reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com here.
