Burnham-On-Sea police seize motorbike being ridden by 12-year-old

-

Burnham-On-Sea police seized this motorbike after it was spotted being ridden in a dangerous manner by a 12-year-old in the town on Thursday (October 8th).

The youth was seen riding without a helmet along the cycle path besides the River Brue, stretching from Highbridge to Burnham.

Amid concern for groups of walkers using the path and the age of the youth using the bike, PCSOs seized the bike at 4.30pm and it was taken to Burnham Police Station, as pictured here.

PCSO Claire Chambers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Mini motos can be dangerous, cause a noise nuisance and, if misused, can be seized by the police and disposed of.”

“On this occasion the bike will be kept for a legally required time and then destroyed. We urge the local community to contact the police should they have information regarding any similar anti-social behaviour.”
