Quiet evening
for police during Burnham-On-Sea Carnival
Police
dealt with only a handful of minor scuffles during Burnham-On-Sea's
Carnival on Monday night (November 9th).
Inspector
Roger Tolley, pictured here in the High Street during the parade,
said he was very happy with how the event had gone.
"It
was a quiet evening with only a handful of minor public order
incidents," he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
PCSO
Gavin Jennings of Burnham Police added: "It was a very quiet
night, which made for an enjoyable evening for everyone."
"There
were a couple of drunk scuffles between friends but no serious
injuries and spectators were generally good natured."
Police
were out in force and had a high-profile presence in the town
centre to ensure the event went off successfully.
