Police officers storm Highbridge flat in new drugs raid

-

This was the dramatic moment when police in Highbridge this week raided a home in the centre of the town and then arrested a man in connection with drugs charges.

Officers forced their way into the flat in Church Street by breaking down a front door, as pictured. They then seized drugs from inside and arrested an occupant.

Sgt Ian Kennett confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A 50 year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and intent to supply. A quantity of drugs was also seized during the operation.”

This latest incident is part of a high-profile ongoing crackdown against drug use and dealing in the town.

Burnham-On-Sea.com also reported last week how a £15,000 cannabis farm had been uncovered in Walrow.
