Elderly motorist left 'shaken'
after Burnham town centre collision

A
Burnham-On-Sea pensioner was left "shaken" after a two
car collision in the town centre on Monday morning (January 26th)
A
Ford Fiesta collided with a parked vehicle near Palmers, the butchers
shop, in the High Street and then slammed into a sign post, as
pictured here.
Mike Gould of Palmers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The motorist
seemed to lose control of the car, which was an automatic drive."
"The car went into reverse, instead of forward, and collided
with a parked car behind, before spinning into the sign post with
a loud bang."
He said no-one was injured, although the elderly driver had been
left "shaken" by the incident.
News
of the accident broke here
on Burnham-On-Sea.com's discussion forums within minutes of the
accident occurring.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
contributor Nikki Triggol sent us several photos of the car, pictured
here, soon after the mid-morning collision, which left a sign
post damaged.
