Lightning
and thunder sweeps through Burnham-On-Sea

Lightning
bolts sizzled over Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday evening (June 25th)
as an electric summer storm gave the town a drenching.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
took this stunning image of one fork lightning strike above the
town's pier as crashes of thunder boomed overhead.
Heavy
torrents of rain also led to difficult driving conditions for
motorists for around 20 minutes as the storm moved over at around
8pm.
Further
storms are forecast over the coming hours, with the Met Office
issuing a severe weather warning for the South West.
