Good music and weather draw crowds to Burnham’s Picnic In the Park

-

Warm summer weather and a great line-up of musicians attracted a big crowd to Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Sunday afternoon (July 12th).

The 12th annual Picnic In the Park was headlined by the highly-acclaimed Blues band ZZ Birmingham, who are pictured above with organiser Mike Murphy.

They belted out almost an hour of top music and were followed by Adam Smith, an emerging singer-songwriter, Bristol band Phil King, and Veroneka’s New Swing band.

Mr Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was “delighted” with how the event had gone.

Picnic In The Park is run by CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society. The group organises three or four free events a year for the benefit of people in both towns.
