Local
groups benefit from Puriton fundraising bike ride

Burnham-On-Sea's
hovercraft charity and a local group of brownies have been given
a financial boost this week with the donation of hundreds of pounds
following a fundraising bike ride.
Over
fifty motorbikes took part in the 160-mile Pasty Run from Puriton,
near Bridgwater, to Swanage in Dorset during September.
The
event, which is now in its fourth year, raised £430 which
was split between BARB and Puriton 2nd Brownies.
Delighted
members of both groups gathered at Puriton village hall, as pictured,
to receive their cheques from organisers.
Organisers
Paul and Julie Vearncombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The bike
ride was a great day out and it is good to see the money going
to two very good local groups."
Brown
Owl Denise Egginton and Divisional Commander Carol Spencer received
the cheque on behalf of the Brownies, while BARB's Mark Newman
and Dave Bailey received the cheque towards the rescue hovercrafts.
