Burnham-On-Sea
pub's plans for new smoking shelter win approval
Plans
for a new permanent smoking shelter to be built outside a Burnham-On-Sea
town centre pub have this week been given the go-ahead by council
planners.
The
Railway Inn on Burnham High Street had applied for permission
to build the wooden structure in place of a temporary shelter
at the southern end of its premises, as pictured.
Sedgemoor
District Council this week approved the scheme, subject to it
"being roofed with slate and that all exposed woodwork is
painted white to ensure it is in keeping with its surroundings
and does not undermine the character or appearance of the surrounding
conservation area."
