Cars
damaged by vandals in centre of Burnham-On-Sea
Vandals
left a trail of damage in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea early on
Sunday morning (February 15th).
Several
wing mirrors were smashed and broken in South Street, as pictured
here, and nearby Adam Street.
One
South Street resident, who asked not to be named, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"There was a lot of noise in the middle of the night from
a group in the street, playing with a shopping trolley."
"When
we went outside this morning we found three wing mirrors had been
broken - it was pointless vandalism."
Sunday's
incident follows a spate of crimes in Burnham-On-Sea town centre
during recent weeks. A greetings
card shop suffered a break-in last week, there was an attempted
robbery at an antiques shop last month, and vandals also attacked
a High Street financial business by smashing its window in
late January.
