Burnham-On-Sea
businessman offers cash reward to capture vandals
The
furious owner of a Burnham-On-Sea shop has offered a financial
reward to try and catch the vandals who attacked his business
for the fifteenth time in as many years on Sunday (January 25th).
Mark
Woods, owner of Watermark Financial Solutions at 62 The High Street,
faces a repair bill of several hundred pounds following the early
morning attack.
As
pictured here, the door of the shop was smashed overnight, much
to Mr Wood's dismay.
"We're
offering a £50 reward for information that leads to the
conviction of these mindless vandals - I will definitely being
pressing charges," he told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Sunday.
"Repairing
and cleaning this up is another expense that we could do without.
However, it won't stop us doing a great job - we won't be breaten."
He
said CCTV coverage in the town needs to be tightened up at the
northern end of the High Street. "CCTV coverage appears to
be useless for this to keep happening and no-one being caught.
The police and local councils need to have a re-think about it."
"It
is a sad indictment of the state of our town today that this keeps
happening."
Burnham-On-Sea.com
has covered the attacks several times in recent years - mostly
recently here.
