Burnham-On-Sea
air cadets achieve Duke of Edinburgh Awards
This
group of air cadets from Burnham-On-Sea and Weston are celebrating
after completing their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
The
youngsters - all aged between 14 and 17 - achieved seven bronze
and two silver awards by dedicating their time to completing various
mental and physical tasks over the last few months.
"They
all finished their awards by taking part in a weekend expedition
which involved navigation, camp cooking and an overnight camp,"
the group's spokesman Chris Garrett told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Squadron Air Training Corps is based in Burnham-On-Sea at the
Cadet Centre near in Highbridge Road (TA8 1LN). The group meets
on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7.30pm and 9.45pm. For more
