Burnham-On-Sea air training corps receives £250 council funding boost

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Air Training Corps was given a financial boost during a flying visit by a local County Councillor on Tuesday evening (March 30th).

Cllr John Woodman visited Burnham’s 290 Squadron Air Training Corps and presented them with a cheque for £250 from his council community fund.

The money will be used towards the cost of a new flying aid for the group.

Cllr Woodman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’m very happy to support such a worthwhile group, particularly as my father was in the RAF.”

Burnham’s 290 Squadron Air Training Corps is based at the Cadet Centre on Highbridge Road (TA8 1LN) and meets every Tuesday and Thursday between 7.30pm and 9.45pm. For more information, contact 290 Squadron on 01934 647805.
