A man was killed in a horror crash in Berrow, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Sunday morning (January 17th).
A Land Rover Discovery and a Honda Civic collided head-on in Barton Road, as pictured above, at 10.44am.
Police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to the scene but they were unable to save the life of one of the occupants of the vehicles. An air ambulance was also called to the scene and hovered nearby, but did not land.
A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the scene that the cause of the crash was not yet known. A nearby resident said he had heard a loud crash at the time of the collision.
The road remained closed throughout much of the day while emergency services were at the scene.
