lifeboat
station's car wash raises over £1,000
Burnham-On-Sea
lifeboat station's second car wash on Saturday 6th February has
was hailed a success after being supported by dozens of local
motorists.
Over
the course of two weekends, a total of £1,083.70 was raised
for the RNLI when 106 vehicles were washed with the care and attention
one would normally expect from a professional valeting company.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"Our thanks go out to all those who supported our volunteer
crews. We rely on voluntary contributions, so every penny donated
helps to run our life-saving service."
