Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station's car wash raises over £1,000

Burnham-On-Sea lifeboat station's second car wash on Saturday 6th February has was hailed a success after being supported by dozens of local motorists.

Over the course of two weekends, a total of £1,083.70 was raised for the RNLI when 106 vehicles were washed with the care and attention one would normally expect from a professional valeting company.

Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told "Our thanks go out to all those who supported our volunteer crews. We rely on voluntary contributions, so every penny donated helps to run our life-saving service."
